Our client, a name synonymous with industry-leading machinery production, required an upgrade to their lamination machine units. Their primary concern was improving the adhesion and print quality on the cast film used for the interior lining of kraft paper bags. This is where our Corona treatment machines came into play.
The client’s lamination machines specialize in producing films for a wide range of applications. However, producing cast film for kraft paper bag interiors presented unique challenges. The film required excellent adhesion properties to ensure that it sticks perfectly onto the bag, ensuring durability and structural integrity.

This increases the surface tension of the polymer film, resulting in improved adhesion when the film is later coated or laminated, which was the primary requirement for the client’s kraft paper bag production line.
After the successful installation and operation of our Corona treatment units, the client reported substantial improvements in the quality of their coated films. Not only did the films exhibit enhanced adhesion, but they also demonstrated superior printability, another critical aspect for the aesthetic appeal of kraft paper bags.
